What are your Favorite Metalbands?

All of you like Devian, but which other bands do you like? My prime bands are:
Amon Amarth,Marduk,Helrunar,Nile,Behemoth,Kataklysm
Immortal,Ensiferum,Wintersun.
There are much more, but thats the bands which i listen the most at the moment

(i hope this thread is ok, i think its a difference between "what kind of music do you prefer" and "what are your favorite metal bands" :wink:

Difficult question to answer;

-Mayhem- since I heard the Deathcrush album in 1990;
-Shining;
-Dissection- since their magnificent album The Somberlain;
-and last but least, Centurian from Holland. One of the greatest Death metal bands that have ever existed. Listen to Choronzonic Chaos Gods and Liber Zarzax. That will say it all.

Hey there MetalHearts !
Well that is a hard question since I've been into metal since my 6 years old once I was introduced to killer bands such as Maiden, Sabbath, Priest, AC-DC,and so on, so let's see I am only saying few that I listen at most this days even I like tons of more. Beside Devian They are:

And what do you think about Marduk with Mortuus? Me and most of my friends already don´t listen this band. I would like to hear also another opinion from others.. I have even Marduk - Blood Puke Salvation dvd, including two cds but it is not good.

I got the Blood Puke salvation too and i like it.
Im happy to see mortuus this november, in my opinion he has one of the best voices in black metal

But i dont really like the new drummer too, emil or Fredrik where the best for marduk!

I like Mortuus voice... he has a lot of character and feeling when he's singing and live it totally ripes, sounds just like on the albums!

Oh, I am very glad to read your opinions! I like Mortuus voice in Triumphator, he is fantastic here! But Legion in Marduk was the best vocalist ever. I can´t adapt to new vocal there. What can I do..?

Yes, Emil is excellent drummer, Devian has the luck with Emil!! And I miss B War in Marduk too, his bass guitar is the best, I can´t forget for him! I know, he doesn´t play now.

Only on Thorns Of Crimson Death but they are very hard to distinguish from Jon's vocals if you are not familiar with the vocalist. It took me a while.

Devian of course. But my big favourite one is: Septicflesh! And I also love Alter Bridge, Kamelot, Motörhead, Ensiferum, Opeth, Vader, Taake, The Cumshots and other that I forget!
